(not the tsunami though >.<) people like us are rather sentimental so we sometimes see what others dont. maybe to a lot of people a lake is just a lake, nothing special about it. :D i find that the reflection of the sunlight on the water is interesting. especially during sunsets. or maybe how the calm water reflects the blue sky. those things attract me most. i dont know why we are attracted to water. maybe because water is soothing.
